Marty sometimes mispunctuates sentences so that they mean the opposite of what he intends. E.g.,
"Since then, we’ve spent hours--no days--talking on the phone talking about everything and nothing at all."
When what he means is:
"Since then, we've spent hours--no,days--on the phone, talking about everything and nothing at all."I do this all day and now I can't stop.
