I need to return a book to Barnes and Nobel (if they'll take returns, I dont know)- I screwed up, and a premise that I found interesting if set in 1899 (as I read the back cover to say) is MUCH less interesting when set in 1999 (as the cover revealed when I got it home).

Any good book recommendations?
